Lime Fresh Mexican Grill

 “Fresh”  “Healthy”  “Organic”  “Sustainable”
We’re sick of green-washed buzzwords you hear a lot but don’t mean much at all.
So, here’s our no-quote truth:
Our food is freakin’ good. It’s how we went from one bumpin’ burrito shop in hell-raising, health-conscious South Beach to over 19 (… and counting) along the East Coast.

Why’s our food so good?
We use the best ingredients available, that’s delivered daily and prepared on-site for all our homemade salsa, sauces and sides. Plus, we really care if you like it. We make your meal however you want it, bring it out to you and bring it back if it’s not perfect. We’re cool like that.

We also have vegetarian, low-carb and low-fat options. But we’ll be the first to tell you that a mound of sour cream on a low-carb wrap… still has a mound of sour cream. So keep it in check Madam Denial.

So, yeah. If you want delicious, freshly-prepared Mexican food with a precocious, often-offends attitude … then welcome. We like you already

Lime Fresh Mexican Grill has locations throughout South Florida, some of the locations include Coconut Creek, Downtown Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, West Kendall and others.  All have a casual, friendly, bright atmosphere to enjoy a great meal with family and friends.  Some of the locations have outside dining available.  Remember to ask about their catering and event planning.

5 South Florida Restaurants that your kids will absolutely love

5 South Florida Restaurants that your kids will absolutely love

For the majority of the parents, dining out with a small child poses quite a difficult challenge. Choices typically range from places that are just way too fancy (and where kids and their harried parents are pretty much guaranteed to get the ol' stink-eye from patrons and servers alike) or mass market corporate chains with really boring food and zero ambience.

But don’ despair as there is still hope for parents looking for that one spot to feed their family in Southern Florida. If a restaurant has a friendly wait staff, a kitchen open to the flexible whims of a child’s palate and a room of diners tolerable of tantrums, it all add up to a winning formula for feeding your children outside of the home.
Families are concerned with both time and money. With that in mind, here’s a selection of 5 best kid-friendly fast, casual restaurants – from neighborhood diners to mega-chains restaurants in South Florida that can please both big and little diners, whether you live in the area or are in vacation.

1. Giraffas

When it comes to child friendly restaurants, themed restaurants for kids are the ideal solution. At Giraffas your kids can enjoy a scrumptious kids cheeseburger, accompanied by fries and smiles, in a very colorful and welcoming décor, which includes a life-sized family of giraffes on the restaurants wall.

Diners are supposed to feel as if they’re in a tropical rainforest. Artificial trees and vines drape across the ceiling jungle-like, with mechanical stuffed animals dashing, popping, and swinging about, cawing and growling. Menu items are diverse and kid-friendly. And to make you feel good about eating those amazing French fries, a percentage of Rainforest Café’s profits are filtered into sustaining the real rainforests of the world.
Rainforest Cafe
You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into “It’s a Wonderful Life” at this old-fashioned ice cream parlor and candy shop, where everything is made fresh on the premises. It makes more than 50 flavors of ice cream, from classics such as chocolate and vanilla to exotic tropical flavors like mango and passion fruit. Just watch for that sugar rush.

Skip the indoor dining room and ask for a table on the considerable open-air patio where you and the family will get a stellar view of the Intracoastal Waterway. Little ones can gawk at the drawbridge as it rises for passing yachts. If patience starts to wane, there's plenty of room to escape for a quick walk to the water to take a peek at any fish that might be happening by.

Burgers, fries, sundaes, hot dogs, shakes; the menu at this growing franchise is practically tailor-made for kids. But the quality of the product -- not to mention the craft beer and wine selection -- means it's not a total culinary bummer for the grownups. Plus, if soda isn't completely off-limits in your family, the kids will get a kick out of the digital "freestyle" fountain where they can mix and match fizzy drinks to their heart's content. Important note to parents with kids with allergies: French fries are made in peanut oil, so ask before ordering.

The Morgans Restaurant in Midtown "Local Comfort Food"

The Morgans Restaurant is located in Wynwood, Midtown are of Miami.  The restaurant is situated in a restored Old Miami home and offers a modest, well-priced menu in a very cozy and family friendly atmosphere.

Morgans is located in a sprawling 1930's house that the owners have decorated tastefully,
with modern white chairs, paper lanterns and polished concrete floors. The restaurant has a huge wrap-around porch with more seating and large wooden communal tables perfect for a group of friends to gather and enjoy great comfort food.

From the owners, We suppose it's those communal moments that give us that pep in our collective step. The world has gone up and got itself in some hurry, even the clouds seem to have somewhere to be. At Morgan's we've gone ahead and selected to press pause and enjoy the moment, to cherish companionship. We can still remember running around our summer home, which was also the back porch of our winter home. Enjoying the sun from the day's end, sitting on that old wooden swing with a calm breeze that carried us into a warm summer evening. We've worked our brow off to create that same comforting feeling at Morgan's, where listening is valued as much as speaking and good friends and family take the cake, well, pie as is often in our case.

I guess what we're getting at is there just aren't a whole lot of anxieties here, just good company and fresh, Florida grown and bred, all-natural ingredients. The kind directly from the community, served to the community. The same thoughtful, wholesome and, most importantly, locally sourced food that your gram used, prepared much in the same way. Well, maybe without all the butter and guilt, we have grown up a little.
Breakfast or Brunch @ The Morgans Restaurant
Whipping up rib-sticking fare that would please even your most fussy aunt is what we do. With a promise, friend, that you may rest assured each dish that hits your table will be made from scratch, with a little love being the only additive.

Come on in; sit at our table and Find Your Roots.

Pasha's Mediterranean Cuisine - South Beach, Brickell, Design District

Pasha’s serves natural Mediterranean cuisine and is one of the healthiest restaurants in Brickell Miami. They have a great menu dedicated to all dieters. All of the ingredients in their meals are natural and their food contains no trans fat, additives, preservatives or msg. Try smoothies such as the Mango Lassi and the Peanut Butter Cup. Pasha also offers catering services to parties, corporate gatherings and other types of events upon request.
The menu has something for everyone, from fresh salads, soups, wraps, and filling platters with rice, veggies, and flavorful grilled meats.  On my most recent visit, I ordered my usual - Choban salad topped with chicken shish kebab skewers and a whole wheat pita on the side.  The salad consists of tomato, cucumber, bell peppers, onions, and Kalamata olives, marinated in heart healthy extra virgin olive oil and Mediterranean herbs. For an extra charge I added Feta cheese and the Shish Kebab Skewers (charbroiled marinated chicken breast chunks with grilled peppers and onions).  You can also top the salad with Vegetarian Falafel, Beef, or Salmon kebabs.  Other dishes worth mentioning are the lentil soup, tabbouleh, and spinach borek (flaky pastry with spinach and cheese filling).

In 2004 Dr. Arthur Agatston published its successful South Beach Diet Cook Book with recipes from a select handful upscale restaurants from New York and Miami.  Pasha’s is the only fast casual restaurant to be part of this selection.  The book which became a New York Times Best Seller with over 3 million books sold worldwide proclaimed “Pasha’s serves healthy and delicious Mediterranean food, proving once again the two are never mutually exclusive”

Malanga Cafe "Original Cuban Food" Is a Hidden Gem In Pinecrest!

When you think the best Cuban restaurants have already been thought of in Miami you find "Malanga Cafe".   Less than 12 months ago Malanga Cafe opened it's doors in Pinecrest.  "Original Cuban Flavor" is an understatment, the owner Melissa Vias, the chef, staff, family and friends have all contributed to bringing to South Florida a truely authentic Cuban restaurant.   Malanga Cafe has all the qualities of what makes an excellent Cuban restaurant: "Authentic Cuban Food", "Fresh Ingredients", "Home Made Quality", "Great Presentation" and most of all "Cuban Ambiance" better known as 'SABOR CUBANO!".

One of our favorites is "La Lechoncita", Lechon (Pork in Spanish), is a generous serving of suckling pork served with your choice of vegetables, rice and beans, french fries moro rice or the famous "Malanga Puree".  The pork served at Malanga Cafe is  rotisserie pork roasted daily as it has been done in Cuba and other caribbean islands for hundreds of years.

The ambiance at Malanga is authentic Cuban and Caribbean rythms, the restaurant has music and flat screen TV's providing a fun and vibrant atmosphere.  They also offer live music and invite special guests to perform live.  Malanga is truely a family restaurant, walking into Malanga Cafe you will soon realize that is like sharing a meal with family and friends.

The deserts are deliciouos, our favorite is the "Casquito De Guayaba Con Queso Blanco", Guava preserve with white cheese, the guava is home made!   Malanga's menu has a selection of the most authentic Cuban foods, we recommend you visit Malanga Cafe and experience, taste and enjoy, we guarantee that you will not be disappointed.  Malanga's is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Oops! We can not forget one of Malanga's specialty sandwichs "Pan Con Lechon", once again, a generous serving of shredded pork snuggled between freshly made Cuban bread, absultely delicious.
